Cradle Roll
What is the Cradle Roll?

When the church is notified that a member of the congregation has had a baby, the name immediately gets passed down from the church office to the Cradle Roll coordinator. Having received the new child’s name, the Cradle Roll reaches out with three important caring gifts. The first care gift to be given is the “Nursey Roll” program. This is a calendar of growth, a CD, and information about baptism, books, and newsletters that will be sent via mail until the child is 3 years of age. The second care gift, which is donated by our congregation, is a package of diapers and wipes. The third care gift is a meal for the new family. We will deliver all of the above to your family within 2 weeks of the birth of the child. The Cradle Roll volunteers are here to welcome your new child of God and to offer our prayers and support.

How to become a Cradle Roll Member.

If you or someone you know is expecting a child and are a member of St. Paul’s, please contact the church office to inform the Pastors when the baby is born or adoption is final. At that time we have the opportunity to welcome a new member into God’s family.

How to become a Cradle Roll Volunteer.

We would always love to have more volunteers for the Cradle Roll. If you are interested in helping in anyway, please contact Angie Ellefson for further information.

Grief Care
GRIEF CARE MINISTRY: St. Paul's is in need of additional people to serve in the caring ministry to those who have lost loved ones. It involves 4 calls within the first year following a funeral; 1,3,6, and 12 months. St. Paul's will provide you will grief care gifts to be dropped off at the house of the bereaved. Grief care is not counseling. When you drop off the gifts, all you need to ask are two questions; "How are you doing today?" and "Is there anything I can do for you?" If you have questions about the grief care ministry, please take a handout on the bulletin board in the Narthex of the church near the mother's room. If you would like to be part of the grief care ministry, please talk to Pastor Garchow. We have 8 individuals already, but we would like about 8 more. The basis for our grief care comes from 2 Corinthians 1:4, "God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."
